From humble beginnings in 2006, IntelliTechs was formed from the retooling of Fast-teks; one of the nation's fastest growing IT service franchises. After a couple of short and successful years it was apparent that our clients could be better served by an IT service provider that was independent. We sold the franchise rights, changed the name and embraced managed services as the demand for proactive IT support grew exponentially. Partnered with Zenith Infotech (now Continuum by ConnectWise), IntelliTechs had a NOC based out of Mumbai India and a helpdesk located in Pittsburg PA. It was these resources that instantly provided 24/7/365 round the clock support for even our smallest of clients.
Small business is, was and will remain our primary focus. For all the benefits gained through the utilization of managed services we came to realize that we were waning from what we loved most about the old break fix routine, client interaction. Steve Jobs said it best, “Technology is nothing. What's important is that you have faith in people, that they're basically good and smart, and if you give them tools, they'll do wonderful things with them.” We agree with Steve!
By design we began to move in reverse while looking forward as the industry was coming full-circle and shifting towards cloud-based computing again. At the same time we were introducing Microsoft hosted Exchange and then Microsoft 365 we were also encouraging on premise maintenance vs. managed services. It has always been about the relationship, working directly with our clients and being their near-site IT department.
Since 2019 we’ve been on the move with what promises to be a better way for businesses of all sizes to procure, utilize, manage and consume IT resources. Now given the ability to rent software, virtual hardware, scale on demand and work from anywhere, we are reinventing our wheelhouse and how we support our clients. We are excited to add SaaS, DaaS, IaaS, PaaS and just about any other acronym that represents lifting and shifting your technology needs from on premise to the cloud. These services are in addition to and not a replacement for break fix and managed services. What works for you is what we work to perfect.
